Offset noob, Will these work - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I have a question for the wheel gurus out there.

Will these weels fit my e92 with sport package on stock height?
front 18" x 9" (e46 M3 offset)
Rear 18" x 10: et27

Will these fit my e92 with sport package on Koni yellows with H&R sport drop?

I apologize for the dumb question, especially with the available wheel spec calculator.
Thanks in advance for your help with this.

If the front wheels really are m3 offsets the fronts will be tucked even with it being a 9" wheel in the front. also it could rub against the strut. the rear offset will rub badly on an e92 and most likely will need a lot of fender work. not a good setup for your car.

The rears will not fit without some work. You'd have to roll the fenders, adjust your alignment, and maybe run a 265 on there to clear. I'm curious about the front. What is "m3 offset" for a 9" front wheel?

I know its 47 for the oem comp.package wheels. All of the front m3 offsets are very high compared with the e90/92's.

You will need a spacer in front to bring the offset to +35 - +40ET range. With the rear, you will rub with 275/30 tires (265/30 will look "stretched" on those wheels).

unfortunately I won't be able to capitalize on a sweet set of step lip hre 540's. for an insane price, oh well, isn't meant to be.

But its better to know now than later.

That's what we're here for!

actually the et 47 is for the 8" wide rim. the real csl's are 8.5" but have an offset of 44.

no oem wheels for the m3 were 9".

they arent oem. They are hre, 9" front & 10"rear. Im not sure of front et but rear is 27. I will try to supply the front et by tomorrow.

And I know you mentioned you wouldn't be able to capitalize on those set of wheels...but you know...you still can.

When I said they wouldn't fit, all I meant was it wasn't going to be a bolt on procedure. You can definitely fit them if you're willing to do some work. I suggest talking with some of your local tuning shops and see if they can recommend any good body shops or maybe the tuning shop can do it themselves. The rear wheels really only stick out 12mm more than our 19x9.5 +33 wheels. That's less than half an inch. If you can a shop pull and massage the fenders a little bit. you can probably make it fit. Should look crazy aggressive if you're able to pull it off. Also you should run 275s or 285s on those 10s. I say go for it if you have the time and resources. I'd love to see the resulting product!

Ok folks, lots going on.

Just found out the following info. My good friend is willing to part with his set of extra HRE wheels from his m3.
Specs are as follows:
3 x 18"x9" (step lip hre 540) et 39
and
2 x 18" x 10" (step lip hre 540) et 27

Now I understand that the rears will be very aggressive, But, will I be able to fit the 2 fronts with spacers and then re-drum one of the rear faces to make a complete set of 4 x 18"x9" et 39?

Will these fit?
does anyone know how i go about re-drumming a 3pc wheel? i.e., where I requisition the drum. what parts will I need.

I appreciate all of the feedback as usual.

you need a spacer in the front 100%... and the rear wont fit, unless you roll you rear fenders 12mm minimum, which will require you to repaint the fenders, because the paint will crack... and after all this, if you go low enough, you will probably rub on your wheel wells in the back..

That is a lot of work for 18 inch used wheels. I assume they have a lip too being HRE? Sorry man but with that offset in the rear and being 18 inches, its going to look like crap! The e92 has a lot of wheel well, it just swallows 18s
