Why wouldn't the rings withstand 8500k? It's just a color temp rating, not wattage. I'd go w/the GP 7500s if you want white without hints of blue.

By definition Kelvin is a unit for measuring temperature, but when measuring the "temperature" of light it relates where the light is along the color spectrum.

NO. On a tempature scale yes but this is the color scale with about 6700K being white as I recall. Lower like 4750K is more yellow. Above that is a bit blue. What you want is about 6500-8500K in an appropriate wattage bulb to fit in the housing.

No, it refers to the color output of the light. This chart might help.

8500k because as the light goes through the angel eye, it decreases in the power so its more white than if you put those same bulbs in your fogs

7500K is just dimmer.. the look is the same just the outside ring doesnt light up as much

I don't get why the 7500 would be dimmer for the outside ring than the 8500...what do you mean "it decreases in the power?"

GP Thunders are brighter then Mtecs as far as angel eyes goes. I've seen them both in person and the GP's are brighter. it seems you are in Walnut, i go to school around there so if you want, i can show you in person.
