oh dude please... this argument is getting old. there bassicly sold now anyway. so I guess the person who bought them didn't mind. But like I said there still available for $2000 and up.
yes I would have been OK with 1200 but I am really OK with $2000... this is life dude.

This thread has gotten out of hand. I can see why some people are pissed. But what would you like me to do. If this what turned around I believe that everyone would be doing the same thing.

All my transactions where through PM... I just was keeping people updated so I didn't get tons of PM's about buying them at 1200. I figured if I posted up what the highest offer was people would only PM me if they where serious.

just a word of advice, as i was considering the original stated price of 1200, you really shouldn't post a dollar amount and then expect people to PM you with offers.
understand this about contractual law, whether or not it applies to forums that i am not sure of. but if you put a offer out there of 1200 and someone accepts, legally you are binded to sell it at 1200. doesn't matter what your intentions are. this is why we have a legal system in place. there was a offer (your post to sell your wheels), consideration ($1200), and if someone accepted it, you would have been bound under law to sell it at $1200. soliciting offers from others is different than posting the wheels for sale for because your title clearly says for sale (FS). be clear. cause your title states great buy and for 1200 it is a great buy with tires ... but at 2000, and for worn out tires and near mint condition rims, it is no longer a great buy ... but again that is only my opinion. take it or leave it. |

First off they not his wheels they are mine and he posted the wrong price to begin with. The wheels are listed on 3 other sites for 1600. So there was no way they were selling for 1200. Sorry guys he didnt mean to offend anyone he had to change the price bc I wouldnt let them sell for 1200. The offer of 2000 was with shipping and thats who I sold them too. He really didnt hold the bidding war I did I just kept updating him on the offers I got from the one forum I put them up on to PM me offers.

Lesson to be learned from all this -- don't sell shit for your friends if you aren't going to be properly compensated... and given how much shit you got for doing your friend a favor, you should get the $400 your friend did not expect to get from the sale of these wheels
