Diffuser Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the rear M-Tech diffuser.I just bought an 08 E90 335i,the M-Tech kit was installed at the port of entry but the diffuser wasn't painted and I think it would look better painted(unless it was a cf diffuser, which it isn't).I removed the bottom bolts on the diffuser but somehow it's still attached to the bumper.Looks like there's some tabs on the diffuser that fit into the bumper, but I'm not sure if thats where it attaches to the bumper or not and I didn't want to go yanking on the diffuser and screw something up.Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks....Ron

Hey guys, as posted by jasonn, remove bottom clips, hold one hand against the bumper and pull the diffuser(a hard pull), to pop the diffuser away from the bumper. There are two tabs on the left and two on the right of the diffuser that fit into the bumper, and four different style tabs in the middle, the middle ones are a bit harder to pull than the others, hope this info helps someone...Ron

Damnit... I currently have a painted diffuser on there. I hope the hard pull doesn't scrape the paint off my diffuser--that would suck huge nuts.

Took mine off no problems... but it was a PAIN IN THE A$$
You really have to pull hard... I ended up taking the edge tabs off first, then, working on the middle tabs individually. Is there an easier way to do this?
Thank god the paint flexes a little bit. My paint shop did a fantastic job -- no paint imperfections.
