Pulling what's left of my hair out - black or silver wheels? - jet black car
Below is my car. I absolutely cannot decide between the black or silver EX-M1's found at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117289. I know ultimately it's my decision, but what are your thoughts, and does anyone have any pics with either color on a jet black e90? Thanks.

If you are going to keep the car otherwise stock, do the silver. If you are going to go with a more modified look with matte black front grills, then the black would be the better choice. You surely can't go wrong with silver though.

depending on how much attention you wanna draw i always find that black on black catches my eye immediately. in all honesty though I dont really ever feel for the all out black on black look, I expect more individuals would have more of a negative presumption (gang banger look) about you and your vehicle. just my two cents. I have these wheels in silver, when I have them done up with mothers mag they Shineee. and u'll forget about ever doubting your color choice. goodluck

I will be keeping the car stock. I thought I was sold on the black, but my wife was not fired up about them at all. She doesn't think I'm quite "cool" enough to pull off the black wheels. WTH does she know anyway? I'm cool dammit, and people like me. After further introspection, she may have a point.
I'm curious to hear what more people have to say. |

silver for elegant look, black for sporty look.... both are nice anyway.

Black wheels always remind me of a car that has lost all of it's hubcaps.

Every response is going to be strictly opinions, so I'll put in as well.
For a black car, I like the contrast of silver wheels. You can't really get sick of silver as quickly as you might with black wheels. I'm not a wheel expert, but I would think that it might be easier to just powder coat or paint the silver to black if you change your mind...rather than the other way around . |

Silver. Don't pull your hair out, you may need it later!

I have a pretty dumb reason why I won't go for black wheels, which is: nobody can see them at night In that case, it doesn't really matter what the design is.
If I'm forced to pick black wheels, I'll go with one of them time attack rings. It looks cool when the car is moving |

Board member "TheGtothe335i" has the silver on his blue sedan with some night shots so you can see how the silver is on a dark color car at night. Here's the link to his thread.
