Do I use leather or vinyl products to clean/protect leatherette?

I've read through some of the messages, but I am still unsure if I am supposed to use a leather product or vinyl product to clean and protect my beige leatherette. Is there a consensus here or an expert who can put this to rest?

In general, I would not waste good money on buying leather products and using them on vinyl (aka leatherette). Products like 303 and lexol vinylex (that have UV protection) can be use on leatherette successfully. Some leather products like Zaino say that they also work well on leatherette. But I would definitely not recommend using a product like Leatherique on your vinyl.
