Wastegate Rattle - Where to fix (Sydney)

So my 07 e90 335i has developed a pretty bad wastegate rattle, which is quite a common problem for the n54 engine. Tried to do a self fix a few weeks ago but on the RHD its quite difficult to get out without removing the DP's etc. Only had a small ramp in my garage which didnt allow a whole lot of access. Question is, does anyone know any good places in the Sydney Region who are able to fix this for a reasonable price? No point in going to BMW and paying some absurd amount.

Thanks

What did you do to try and fix it? I'd suggest replacing all vacuum lines first, then move onto boost solenoids if they are the originals still in there. Adjusting the wastegate actuator isn't the best spot to start!

Do a search and you'll find lots of threads suggesting fixes to this issue

Garage List
FYI you cannot adjust the front turbo actuator even with both downpipes removed, the turbos have to be removed to adjust both.

Yea I went straight for the wastegate actuator. So i'll have to have a look at those other options you mentioned.

Anyone got and past links to the wastegate rattle fix besides adjusting the wastegate actuator? Would be much appreciated

Not the best idea! Do you know how far you moved it? Should be used as a last resort as it might not even be the source of your issue.

You simply need to search for "wastegate rattle" and there will be heaps of info. Good luck!

Once your JB4 arrives, you'll be able to make adjustments to make the WG rattle less noticeable. You'll need it because it gets bloody annoying once you put in kittyless DPs
