Has anyone unbolted after the DP's for track days?

This may sound stupid, but I dont see the need for an exhaust system on the track. Hell, half the cars there are ungodly loud as it is.

Out of curiosity, for you track guys, has anyone unbolted the exhaust after catless downpipes?

I guess my only concern is that its dumping under the occupant compartment.

Throw some cutouts on midway through the midpipes. This will give you the best of both worlds and it is easy to put on and off....

Considering the event is in 2 days, I dont have time to do that right now. It should only take me a couple minutes to jump under there and unbolt the 4 bolts. Once I do, there is already a 1.5" gap between the DP's and exhaust.

I've always wanted to put cutouts in right after the DP but turbulence from them has always concerned me.

I was just at VIR, which I think is a "real" track and if there were any noise limits they definitely weren't enforcing them. Some of the cars there were rediculously loud.

That's why I bumped it, I started the car yesterday with the stock DPs unbolted and it was a nice sound, really low and louder. Turned around and said were leaving it this way no need for an exhaust.

Terry had cutouts on his car but he didn't notice any increase and it was just ridiculously loud so he went back.

I feel that if it relly benefited him then he would have kept them since he is so obsessive for being faster and faster. (aren't we all)
Based on this, I don't think it's worth it.
