his name is shawn yue man lok, i hope thats the correct spelling! his pretty big in hong kong and southeast asia, actually he starred in a movie: initial-d

its an adoption from the japanese comic, its about the drifting culture in japan..and yes toyota ae86's price exploded coz of this comic believe it or not

Who was he in initial-d? I've seen the cartoon and I sort of watched some of that movie in japanese but it was kind of hard lol-- I haven't rented the english version, i hear it came out recently.

Anyhoo, it seems that if you are Asian but you study in Canada/US and then return to Hong Kong, you can become a big star!

Both Edison Chen and Shawn Yue studied in Canada and then returned to Hong Kong and became big stars, even though they can't really sing or act.

I really like this singer named Janice. I think she's American and then she went to Hong Kong and became a big star. She has an AMAZING voice and most of her songs are in English. Definately worth checking out! She's also very easy on the eyes.

he's the guy who drives the black nissan skyline! that movie is originally in cantonese and mandarin lol!! the whole setting takes place in japan though, and there is one japanese school-girl..other than that, all of the remaining actors are from hong kong...i dont know bout the english version but i've the dvd and u can have english subtitle on it hehe..if u want i'll send it to u, i mean i'm not gonna watch it anymore lol

Ayumi Hamasaki is really pretty and has great music. The Ayutrance CDs are really good.

oo i didn't know that lol, i figured it was japanese. i saw the english version at blockbuster, so i'll check it out. i really liked the cartoon series.

yeah the cartoon is what set off the movie, i wanted to get the episodes but damn there's too many of them..oh and edison chen, the guy whom ice dragon mentions, is the driver of that white mazda rx-7...and jay chou is the main character...these 3 guys sing too, crazy huh..
