lighting question

Hello all

I have been a member for a while posting for the 1st time. Forum is great and I got allot of great info from the members.

So I have a 2006 E90 330 i I recently got 19 inch rims put on and I am planning to redo the lighting but I am having trouble understanding which bulb to get.

I have the factory angel eyes and factory fog light bulbs in place now. I cant stand the yellow tint on them.

I would like to replace them with bulbs that match the color of the headlights without giving an error. After searching people have posted about GP thunder 7500 and 8500 and PIA. What would be the best choice for the 330i without giving error after replacing?

I would also like the change all the internal lighting within the car to remove that same yellow tint. Anyone have any recommendations / or part # for that?

Thank

The GP Thunders are for E92 / 3 (coupes / verts) only. Since you have a sedan, you can choose between LUX 4/5, Umnitza Predator ICE, PIAA. These are all LED based solutions and gives the bright white look in the angel eyes.

For foglights, you can either consider upgrading to full HID or replace them with some aftermarket bulbs. The stock bulb is H11 and you can bulb any aftermarket bulbs.

sounds like you have a sedan. There are some choices out there for the e90 angel eyes. do some research on the following: LUX 5, LUX 4, Predator Ice, Piaa. LUX 5 is a pure white and the brightest available on the market. Lux 4 is a cooler white ( aka more blue) and the brightest of that color in the market. LUX 4 or 5 can be bought here

GP Thunders are a good choice, people have had success with them on this forum. I would also recommend our Predator Xenix bulbs which are a similar hyperwhite upgrade for your stock fogs.

JLeviSW sells a pretty solid front turn signal LED kit that is quite easy to do, you can choose from amber or white color for the signals.

For the angel, I definitely recommends Lux 4/5, they are bright as hell. Lux 4 for 6000K HID and Lux 5 for stock 4300K HID.

The LEDs do match up with the Xenix as well so that is a great option Kev.

I have lux 4.0 and the JLevi LED blinkers. I love both products. I would give nothing but the highest praise to both vendors, and both products.

If it's a Sedan, you will need Predator ICE, not the Xenix bulbs:

i suggest that you get lux 5.0 and the jlevi LED turn signals. i am currently running that setup now with xenesis fogs. i am going to be upgrading my fogs to HIDs this weekend. i also posted a diy for the jlevi LED turn signals if you need some help.

this is a pic of my lux2.0 and the jlevi LED turn signals. i havent taken an updated pic of the lux5.0 upgrade yet.

ntpcrew13.....that looks great and is exactly what I am looking for. I am making a list of all the stuff I need and this is what I have to far.

Lux 5 - http://www.namotorsports.net/detail....t_cd/MDSLUX5.0
32 LED turn signals - Jlevi SW High Output 32 LED V2 Bulbs (Turn Signals/Reverse)

H11 55 W fog light bulbs - Umnitza Predator Xenix Hyper White Bulbs

Which bulb is needed for the day time running lights?

Ok but one last thing....in your pic you posted the angle eye rings are on without the headlights being on how did you do that. On my car in the day time the day time running lights are on and at night the head lights and rings turn on.

btw I also ordered this http://www.**********s.com/product.a...bergone_E90_CS

the black one.

You can order Predator ICE at the same time as your 32LED bulbs and your Xenix, and save on shipping. Also, predator ice is only $129, and is comparable to many higher priced solutions.

The DRLs are H7 but they are a bitch to get to w/o taking off the whole headlight.

the daytime running lights can be turned off in the menu on the turn signal stalk... easy to do, and there's a bunch of other options in there too.

As for interior xenons, I put in the kit from jlevisw.com a week ago. gets rid of the yellow hue...and is the bluish white to match my flood lamps and license plate lights. Not really bright, but the color is way better.

you can turn off your daytime running lights off. also ask jlevi about their rear tail lights. i had issues with the rear ones, but the front ones were fine. jlevi refunded me for the rear ones. they are great vendors.

For some reason, the rear turn signals don't like the LEDs. The error message pops up every time you turn on the car, but it goes away if you turn on the hazards for 3-5 seconds. Very annoying!

That seems to be happening on some E92s. The E90s have no problems but at the moment there is no work around for that. You can live with it or we'd be happy to take them back

The weird thing is only some E92s exhibit this, others operate just fine.

i have an e90 and it happened to my car. if i just click the turn signal stalk once each way; the error goes away. i just had to do it everytime i turned the car on. i was fine with just having the front LEDs. they are great.
