Oil Level Low after JB2

Hey guys, i just installed my JB2 and after about 20 min of driving, my oil level indicator comes up and it says +1 quart. My car has 9000 miles on it.
-Should i top it off?
-Take it to Bmw?

Thanks in advance.

Mine did this the other day when I reinstalled my JB2 (2 days after I installed it I got a "oil is at minimum level" warning. I just went to BMW and bought a qt and put it in and it seems fine now. 335's eat oil like crazy it seems naturally.

The car will do this stock as well, but the harder you push it, the faster it will consume oil... most people do a lot of full throttle runs directly after installing the JB2...

No big deal, buy some from your dealer, and pour it in

Make sure the low oil indication is "for real"... I've had it come on... but later when I check the indicator, it says my oil level is at FULL. It appears to be a common problem (false low-oil sensor reading).

I had this happen when my car was parked on a hill near my house about 2-3 times...uneven sitting or a hill could throw the sensor off.

This just happened to me. Just before I had the fuel pumps replaced, car was consuming oil like crazy. JB2 was off for awhile - added a quart a day after the fuel pump replacement. Then stable with no JB2.

Reinstalled the JBX at 0% and 0 consumption. Then cranked up the JBX to 50% - I think it was okay. Then cranked it up to 100% and it moved a quarter measure. I am concerned.

Where's the oil going? Are the turbos lubed by regular engine oil or are they sealed? Sorry for the noob Q, but I just don't know.

I also experienced this after JB2H install for a couple of days. I lost about 1 qt. I then topped off and have monitored for 2 months and the oil level is now normal.

I have no idea what that was about. I always made sure to check once up to temp and on flat surface. I just think since the oil sensor is another electrical sensor that after my installation it got tricked somehow to think it was low by 1 qt. After installation I did not do that many WOT runs and I was not beating on the car thereafter.

Going to top it off. May be a coincidence. I had huge consumption loss right before the fuel pumps were replaced. JB2 was off for awhile before that so maybe this is not JB2 related.

Used the JB2H for a couple of weeks and had zero oil-consumption. Now, using the AA Active Processor my car has zero oil-consumption as well.

Guys, the oil sensors are very sensitive to inclines and hills. You really need to be sure it's on flat level ground before running a measurement. There have been some issues with false readings, but they are mainly on cars that don't get driven very far everyday, and get condensation in the sensor. I don't think too many of us do that.

You will have higher oil consumption the harder you beat on the car, that's pretty much a given. I've had to add 2 quarts since it was new, and it has
10K miles on it now.

Dealer added a quart at 4500 miles

I installed my JB2H about 1500 miles ago. Had my low oil indicator come on last week. I just went to the dealer and they added a quart at no charge. I assumed that 1 quart after over 4000 miles on a new engine is not unusual.

I was about a quart low after 4k miles on Procede. Seems to be common with a tune. I attributed it to all the full throttle pulls...

I changed my oil at that point.

Consumption appears to have stopped. Probably coincidence to putting in the tune since my big episode of oil consumption was without the JB2 in...
