Hello dear Hawaii Locals! Has any of you know of any fun backroads and canyons that my friends can drive on in Hawaii? (The Oahu Island, where Honolulu is). Any response is definitely appreciated!

Whatever happened with Tantalus, anyways? Last time I was there (april 2007) they had part of it closed off. Is it all open now? Was it just construction work?

i dont know if it was last year, but they closed it part of it i believe because of some sort of shooting...i could be wrong though, i live on maui.
