Anyone take off their winters yet?

I'm in Florida for another week and hoping the weather will be consistently warm enough to take the snow tires off.

Weather seems to be up and down though.

Come on Spring.

It snowed 5 inches a week ago. It just snowed again Thursday night worth a couple of inches.

I'm not going to risk being caught with my pants down. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks.

I, too, will probably wait at least 10-14 days. I haven't even ordered a set of tires for my VS7 wheels yet. I have no desire to damage my car just to get a head start on the summer.

Driving on winters during the warm won't kill the tires anyway. I drove them from CLE to Schenectady, NY without any tread life issues.

I am keeping mine on for another two weeks.

remember, it's not just snow that makes summer tires slick it is also the cold temperature

Tread pattern determines how well it grabs snow, but the most important part is the temperature. Rubber becomes hard and plastic when exposed to cold temperatures. This affords no traction, even if there is zero snow on the ground. The rubber of a snow tire can stay flexible when it is a low temperatures versus the rubber of a summer tire.

I'm not putting my summers on at least for another month. I want to clean them up before install and fix some chips and I've been waiting for some warm weather to do so. I'd rather do the work with the rims of the car then on, makes life so much easier haha.

Maybe I'll even try to sell them again... who knows. Anyone want to buy some BBS CH's?

it was in the 50's here all weekend. I was thinking about it......then I found out we're going to get 7" of snow today.

it'll be at least another 2 weeks before I even consider it. Gotta love the midwest!

Wheels and tires are going on my car this Monday! I'm also using this time to install an H&R rear sway bar.

Summer wheels cleaned, wheel waxed and back in place (where they should be) as of yesterday. Will have to do a full detail soon and take some picks.

A quick thanks to TurboFan for helping/doing and the use of his tools and jack.

Is it just me...I'm waiting to see the 10 day forecast next weekend. Too many winter storms through mid-April. If that forecast looks good, I will do the change out.

Am I alone?

No. I got back from Florida last night and was dying to change them out today. My wife convinced me we would have another cold storm in the next couple of weeks.
