What does the DTC really do? When is the best time to use and not use it?

what kinda answer are you looking for? i can tell you if you hold that thing down for 5 seconds, then you can do a burnout without the computer cutting off the power.

whoa whats with the aggression. he's right the manual says its for when ur stuck, gives additional traction. i've never used it, but press and hold it for 5 sec and traction is off.
i don't know what other kind of answer ur looking for

Yeah really. You get an answer that you dont like (but its the correct answer) and then you try to call him out? Not cool.

Like he said, theres plenty of threads about what the meaning is, or you can read the manual(theres a lot of good info in there about other things as well).

However, turning if off when I was driving in the snow helped me move along instead of say in place. So, I concur with the previous answer.
