"baby" BMW
Went for a test drive in the new Mini yesterday as we're thinking of buying one for Sally.
Anyway, I was filliding with the radio and stereo and got a surprise. Althought the mounting is different the stereo in the mini is the same one as the 3 series. Same display and functions, even the font is the same. That extends to the trip computer and stop/start as well, the computer display and settings were exactly the same. Good for mini owners, same reliable kit from the 3 series, does that mean the entire range use the same? |

My wife got a new Cooper S in September and her stereo functions pretty much the same as mine in the e93 so I would guess that behind the facia it's the same bit of kit.

Course I have to admit to being slightly biased. We don't need two big cars, so sometimes Sal takes my car. At the moment that leaves me with the Fiesta, which although OK is not that much fun. Now, leave me a cooper and I'll not complain

scotw, I bought a Mini Cooper primarily for the wife, no patronising, we got it to compliment the Mercedes GL as the 'town' car. No complaints from me, it's a hoot to drive, great fun and well built. You are right about the stereo same as the 3er. I also like the feature where it displays the speed digitally in the rev counter binnacle, the main speedo is in the middle so it saves looking away form the road - nice touch.

![]() Your into your cars a little more than some women are. For the Miswah who is not majorly into cars but does appreciate a nice car the Mini is perfect!
