For all you 335d owners

I got an email today from the AC Schnitzer K distributor advising me that they could now offer an upgrade which takes your BeeHaitchPee from 286 to 310:

"You recently enquired about the AC Schnitzer engine upgrade for the 286bhp twin trbo 3.0l diesel engine. This upgrade is now available for the 335d at 2379.31 fitted including vat and as I mentioned at the time this prices includes an engine and drive train warranty for the balance of your manufacturers warranty. The unit will take the engine from 286bhp to 310bhp & I am enquiring with AC Schnitzer about the increase in torque. If you would like to discuss this or any other AC Schnitzer products for your vehicle please feel free to call me on the numbers below.

Best regards

Daniel Parton

As it happens they didn't seem to appreciate that I have a 335i not a 335d!

"Rather expensive' is the understatement of the year, IMO. That's a rip-off price in anybody's book - drivetrain warranty or not - particularly given the very modest gains.

April fools' joke?
