Vishnu PROcede evo X

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...hotopanel..2.*

from what i can see its a PROcede tune and a exhaust/muffler, not sure if its DP back ro turbo back, or if its catted.
this was enough to give 100HP and give the evo a 4.6 to 60mph, and ONLY a 12.7 at the track, imo not that impressive for a AWD tuned evo, esp when a tuned alone 335i can run the same time with just a SSTT and about 50WHP gain. haha.

Did anyone else notice the article said the procede for the evo x was going to be $995, and yet the one for the 335i is $1,295?

Perhaps all development time should be free? Just think, you could buy all computer software for the price of a CD and a box. After all, those bytes don't cost anything, right? The Evo is a much easier platform to work with than the BMW, and has a lower initial investment cost as well (price of the car). If you can deny either of those with a straight face, you must not tune cars for a living.

Integrating the PROcede on the Evo X was a snap. The ECU isn't very diagnostic and is just begging to make more power. Total development time of the Evo X application is a fraction of the BMW (which we are still developing... closing in on two years!)

Why did he keep bogging down on the takeoffs? I thought these cars were supposed to be rockets when launching

It has launch control: with the clutch in, at a stop, full throttle, it has a rev limiter at 5.5k rpms so it would require some really slick clutch practice to be consistent.

+2 (03 evo 8 and 06 evo 9)... small motor, big turbo, takes practice.

I disagree, they're very easy to launch.

1) Jam gas to floor, apply brick.
2) Release clutch.
3) Hope tires spin and not clutch.
4) Go buy a new clutch after doing this a few dozen times.
