Hopefully, it is not mine, but one of the OTHER ones onboard. Maybe it's the Silver Arrow Launch Edition that's onboard.

This is a nice camera view. They panned the camera back for us to see a longer view of the lock.

My MB saleswoman is online watching Hojian with us. That's some dedication.

Thanks, appropriate! She should reach SoCal in 6-7 days. She's due into the port of LA on Friday, April 25, then port Hueneme on Saturday, April 26. She could start showing up on AISlive radar in the Baja region on Wednesday or Thursday. For those without a www.aislive.com subscription, you can subscribe for free to www.shinemicro.com. It has live AIS radar coverage for the southern CA ports. There are various zoom levels on the maps; if you don't see Hojin on one map, try another. Sometimes their ais radar doesn't work at all, but the maps are good when it does work.

Here's a hi-res photo of Hojian today in the Mira Flores Locks. It's been up on my computer screen. I decided to post it for the record, before deleting it.

Here's an AIS snapshot of the Baja region tonight. This area can be unreliable for radar coverage, but it is great when it works. Tonight it is getting lots of ship's signals, but a lot of the time you won't see a single ship. It is great to catch your ship on this radar screen when it works, because it gives you about a day of extra tracking before the ship reaches the southern CA radar.

The port just below the tip of Baja is the port of Manzanillo, MEXICO.

Have you looked at the Baja AIS, yet? What are you showing for it tonight?

wow, thanks for all the detailed updates, when it arrives in L.A., that means that we won't receive it until 2-3 days after it arrives because of the car prep correct?

Correct. But, when you say LA, the port of LA is where Hojin will drop off Mercedes Benz on Fri 4/25; then drop off BMWs at port Huemene on Sat 4/26. Since Hojin is on schedule to reach PH on a Saturday, they do unload the cars from the ship on the weekends, but the cars will sit until Monday for Customs inspections. They will probably get the customs inspections done first thing Monday morning, then the cars will be transferred to the BMW Vehicle Prep Center (VPC). Some of the cars could be on trucks on Tuesday (at least by Wed) headed towards their respective dealerships. BMW uses Wagonneers Trucking for their trucking company and they have great customer service. Either late Tuesday or Wednesday, I would give them a call and see if your car has been released to them and they have it in their possession, yet. They will ask for your car's VIN #, but if they have your car, they can tell you exactly where your car is; i.e. at the truckyard, on a truck, on the truck on its way to the dealership, where the truck is enroute, at the dealership. From what I have heard on these threads, they are really patient and helpful, as long as you don't bug them too much.

Here's their number:

Wagoneer's Trucking toll free #: 1-800-449-3195.

One other thing. When the ship reaches port, if you guys call the BMW number to get an update on your car's status (actually, it is either the 800 number or the online status-I can't remember), oftentimes your car's status will come up that your car is "at port awaiting a ship." This always freaks people out because for the past month they've thought their car had been on a ship and now the computer is saying that the car is awaiting a ship. It is just a glitch in the BMW status system. Just consider it to mean that your car has been unloaded off of the ship and it is making progress in processing.

I wanted to take a moment to say "Thank You" for all you've been doing to track the Hojin. My new car is also on board that ship so needless to say I've been enjoying watching it make its way towards Port Hueneme.

Nope. She should be sailing northward towards SoCal and may show up on the Baja CA radar on Thursday. Appropriate (who's on the Don Juan list) and I are watching the AIS radar along the Mexico coast for a signal from Don Juan and Hojin. Their signals may or may not be picked up by the Guatemalan, Manzanillo, or Baja port antennas, as they sail northward. We are watching them for signals from these ships anyways.

Hojin is showing on the vessel schedule for the port of LA/Long Beach for arrival this Friday. There is no ETA listed, yet, but at some point they will fill that information in. The port of LA/LB schedule is showing that she is sailing from "Southampton, GBR-San Diego, USA." The last I checked, the port of San Diego and dBhlogistics schedules for the port of San Diego were not showing that Hojin was going into San Diego (the San Diego Vessel Schedule web site is down at the moment so I can't check again right now.) Appropriates AIS's was also showing she was heading to San Diego. So, maybe she's stopping at San Diego and we just don't know it, yet.
