give him a break.... although i dont know if this is what happened to him, but in some countries, the M badge comes on the car fresh outta the dealer. dont know why, but dont ask me. this was more popular with the older BMWs (E30s, E34s, etc).
it's a different story if he slapped it on however.... |

Back to the original question, "Is 30 all the same in all tires brand".
Yes it is always the same but it does not mean 30mm or any other fixed size. It is the aspect ratio. So its height depends on the width of the tire. 265 is the width in milimeters, 35 is the aspect ratio and 18 is the wheel diameter in inches without the tire. |

Sorry, here is the math for Aspect Ratios of Tires
Aspect Ratio of a 275/30/19 is an 82.5mm tall sidewall 26mm equals an inch so you are correct, it will be about 3.05 inches. Aspect Ratio of a 255/35/18 stock wheels is an 89.2mm tall sidewall 26mm equals an inch so you are correct, it will be about 3.43 inches. |

Front Tires 4 fingers on mine
You think that 3 fingers is a lot..... I have an 08 335XI with the sp and the 17" All season RFT and I can basically put my entire hand in between the top of the tire and the fender well.
I was going to buy a 19" Wheel and Tire pck. but I just got laid off so thats on hold. |
