False, but if you permanently remove the fog lights, you will have bulb out errors, either run resistors through it or tape out the bulbs with high temp tape and stash it some where in the engine bay.

Kev, do you know what resistance resistors not to resist when I'm looking for the correct ones to buy? I assume it's the same for coupes/sedans ?

so wood it be cool lets say if he takes my stock bumper off . then he takes the blubs out of the fogs and then put the fogs somwhere inside the bumper area like safe so they dont get knocked around . . and then he puts my new bumper on and leaves the fogs pluged in but with no blubs will that leave any errors or will everyhting be ok

Has anyone verified that you get an error if the fog light bulb is out?
It was not like that before.

R = Vē / P

For V = 14V
P = 55W

R = 14V X 14V / 55W = 3.56 Ohm

Make sure you use a resistor that is rated at least 60W. 100W preferred. A commercially available 3 Ohm 100W resistor should do. Make sure it doesn't touch anything becasue it will get HOT.
