Is this is a good lease deal? Picking up Monday.

Hi, I just got back from the dealer. Here's the deal he's giving me. Let me say that my dealer refuse to give me more than 1200 off msrp, so please do not tell me to walk because its impossible to get a deal down here. Here's the number

330i = msrp 43020

price I got = 41744
0 down payment
$691 per month
$890 out of the door.
15k per year
2 years lease

One thing is that, the money factor he gave me is .0025

I know that the 330i suppose to have a .00195 but then I dont know how to say it to him. Is this the rate that they have to go by? Anythinig I can tell them to stick to the Feb lease rate?

Thank youu

Thanks

Your credit rating might affect the money factor, or am I wrong about that?

Your payment should be araound $ 490 including taxes. You should read all the treads about leasing on this site and you should understand every detail before you close a deal. You can call BMW finacial services and deal the lease terms with them first and then go to the dealer. Good luck

Hmm... 490 per month with a negociated price of 41774???

That's for 2 years, 15k per year.

If thats the case, my dealer must be smoking crack or something is wrong about your number

I input the lease information wrong. I did it for a 36 months lease and you are doing 24 months. Your payments should be $ 653. Sorry for that.

Thanks Esteller, as for the MF, how do you negociate that with them? It seems like my dealer say that the rate is set by bmwfs and he can't change it. Anything I can say or prove to him so he will agree with the MF of .00195?

Tell him exactly this: "what is the BUY RATE MF on the 330I?" (let him answer). If he says he doesnt know, tell him to go to his manager and find out. When he says "0.00195". Tell him "Why are you charging me 0.00250 then?" Wait for his answer. It doesnt matter what he says you say "1200 off MSRP is ok. I will not argue that. But, 0.00250 I will not sign. Lower it to the Buy rate of 0.00195 and I`ll sign right now. Then you take your pen and slam it in the desk. Usually salesman go back and forth to their manager as a sell tactic. When he comes, probably he will say "I`m sorry but the best I can do is 0.00215 (Example). Pretent you are thinking for about 15 secs and you with a mean attitude tell him "No. I`ll not take a bump in the MF. Tell your manager that I`ll do ONLY 0.00195 and I`ll sign it right now. If necessary I`ll put a security deposit for it (Only ONE)" They will try to tire you and make you sign it but get on their nervers about it and you will get your 0.00195. If they happen not to give it to you tell them "I`m very offended" and walk out.

Well, not exactly like that but you get the idea. Wait 1-2 days for them to call you, if not, go to another dealer and try the same. Remember, salesman usually do not make comission of back-end profits such as this and they will fight their managers over the sale. With salesmen you have to make sure that you are always on control, if not, they will toy with you. 0.00250 vs 0.00195 is about $1200 on this deal!

I sold Infiniti for quite a while and hated when people did that to me, but it worked

haha thanks for the advice carlitosz. One thing is that though, Im actually dealing with the manager himself. Since this dealership is the only dealer in my area thats big enough to called a bmw dealer, I dont have that much choice. I actually trying to find out what kind of fact, paper, ect that I can just slam in just face so he wont be able to say anything anymore. Like can I call up to bmwfs and prove it to him? Something like that

One more funny thing is that. I talked to the manager and asked hima bout the MF. He told me .0025 for the 330i. I then went to the sale man that I purchased my last car from and he told me the rate is .0024. I didn't want to burst the sale guy because I dont want him to get yell at or anything so I didn't tell the manager. But when I get there Monday and they refuse to give me .00195 MF, I will bring that up

Nope. You either qualify or you don't. There is no sliding MF scale.

Your payment is $556 plus your State taxes. I did not roll in the Acquisition fee. If I do and it is $625, your payment is about $583

This is on a 2 year 15K lease. Res = 74%, MF = 0.00195 ona 330 MSRP $43020 and neg price $41744

If you go to 0.00250, it is $624 with the ac fee rolled in plus your taxes.

I don't know how Louisiana calculates tax. Most add it to the payment. Some like TX and MD require full tax on the negotiated price. You need to check.

Sounds like you are being hosed on the MF. As usual I will rag on about not leasing if you don't understand it or can't calculate it yourself. All the info is right here on this forum. Please read it. It's priceless - or in your case about $50 per month.

Well, im getting all the number right. Been reading through the forum for a while now. I do understand the number but then the thing is trying to negociate with my dealer is extremely hard right now. Every since hurricane Katrina, people lining up to buy their cars. Since they are the only dealer around here, they pretty much control the price unless you're willing to drive far.

Now Im just trying to see if I can find any information that I can just stick it to his face so he will accept my MF instead of using his mark up. I guess in the end, I will have to walk if he refuse to move it down. I know its going to haunt me if I did walk ... Paying 40 more every month and drive a BMW or drive nothing at all

DRIVE. Drive 50-100 to other dealers (calling before to make sure they`ll do the 0.00195).

Tell the "manager" that you called BMW FS and they assured you the MF was 0.00195 not 0.00250. And that you refuse to pay anything that is above that because you feel you are being taken advantage of. Just tell him! If he is willing to negotiate, don't accept it until he goes to the Buy Rate. If he is not willing to do it then don't get the car. Go to a different dealer. MOST dealers will lower the MF to the buy rate with a security deposit.

Call BMW FS first thing in the morning. You won't lose anything for doing that. They approve the lease over the phone.
