JBX Review
Set it at 100% and it rocks. Just WOW.
94 octane. Regular JB2 - you get pushed into your seat. A nice feeling. JBX @ 100 is just more violent. The car actually seems to squat down in the rear due to the power. A few more lbs/ft of torque, I may be able to do a wheelie. ![]() I'm not sure JBX @ 100% is a good daily driver set up. The power is so significant that you feel like the car is always on the edge. I think my perfect setup before was the JB2 with UR DP. No lag and lots of power. JBX @ 100% seems like too much power if you can believe it. Lag seems to be there. Once I get the HFC DP's back in, then I think I may be done for engine mods. Actually, maybe a BMS filter and then I'm done. For sure. Really. One big issue I have to track is oil consumption. As in the other thread I posted, once I set it at 100%, I seem to have started to use oil... |

is their a significant power increase using the bms with just a jbx? or is it to hear the turbos spool and help engine breath. Cause i know with dp's the bms makes a more dramatic increase.
congrats on the install. now go WOT!!! now!! |

BMS by itself will yield you some gains although your butt dyno might not be able to tell. But with lets say a JB2 or JB2X in this case+a bms filter, the difference is quite obvious. |

haha yea i was pretty impatient too. I drove 100 miles to pick it up straight from Terry. Would it have been cheaper to order and ship it to my place, yes. But would i have got it right away? Nope. Instant gratification FTW!
Oh and im sure you'll all heard it before, but the sound really is addicting ![]() |

the more psi you push the bigger the gains when using the filter. JB2H is a perfect setup along with the filter...i'm about to order the jbx in about a week or so.

It's an add on to the JB. Another little box that has an adjustable dial to increase resistance values to increase boost. If you've heard of Terry's "hot pills", it's the equivalent of 2 of those. Then there's also that little toggle switch for the "R" tune.

You can read everything about the JBX on n54tech.com. Basicly it's an adjustable add-on to the JB2 which allows you to configure the power output of the tune. I personally think it's a good option. Terry is very serious with his products.

The R switch on it is just for Race gas. I have a JB2H and am contemplating it.. but i also just might get another H.. since i never use race fuel, i just like the ability to switch it off when i need to....
