The woofer does stick up higher on the surround, and it is deeper also. Some enclosures (I think HiFi?) have a plastic fin sticking up on the bottom of the enclosure that hits the woofer unless you trim it off. If you use a 1/4" thick spacer then it doesn't hit - but then you are pushing the surround into the carpet. So we use a steel ring and a gasket in our kit, and tell you to trim the tab inside. We also now have the plug-in adapter in our kit so that it plugs into the stock wiring for HiFi and Top HiFi (h/k or Logic 7) systems. For base Stereo cars, we use a different harness as part of more advanced packages...

Are you referring to an adapter used at the sub to connect to the factory wiring? Or a harnerss to use at the OEM amp to get output signal for an amp (a member called Technic started making them, which is what I assume you refer to in your sig)?

Do you have links to where one can see the products in your sig?

I've got a pair of SWS-8's that I've bought, and am trying to put together all the necessary pieces so I can give it to a local installer to do. I've got an 08 E93 335 with Logic7 sound system. I think the amp for it is in the trunk somewhere.
