Which iDrive volume knob will this fit?

There are 2 version of the iDrive volume knob:

Pre Production March 2007 and Post Production. The knobs are different length and size.

I posted this will not work for I-drive. I dont want to promise and have it not fit. If you can pull your stock i drive knob off and order qty1 06 radio knob, it will work i suppose. Not tested yet.

I think it would would look odd with the idrive setup. It'd be the only aluminum piece in that cluster.. Whereas the non-idrive setup it looks very clean/balanced/oem, etc.. Good thinking though..

Is it just me, or is the finish of the knobs a bit brighter than the aluminum trim?

it matches the ring around the start button. The aluminum trim is hard to match

i'd like to know how the climate control knobs trial goes...i'd rather buy a set of 4 as opposed to just the 2 radio dials now.
