Will 235/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 rears fit? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I have a 2008 335xi with OEM sport suspension. I have ordered a set of 19" staggered M3 rep wheels from JLeviSW, and I am wondering if the recommended 235/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 rears will fit without rubbing. Are there any brand recommendations for tires for these sizes? My local tire shop has recommended Toyo Proxes T1R tires. Thanks, guys!

It does fit, that's why he sells those specific sizes. I was on the fence on going up to 275/30 or even the M3 sizes of 265/35... just for extra sidewall. I ordered the same as you though M3 reps with 265/30...

Don't worry, you won't have a problem with those sizes. They will definitely not rub, especially on stock ZSP suspension.

I did the opposite, I was on the fence too about 265/35 and 275/30 and bought the 275s. They fill the well very nicely and just look so mean from behind. The contact patch is larger and there is more protection on the lip of the rim. I am extremely pleased I took the risk.

In order to run 275 on a coupe you need to have about ET40. However, the M3 reps were made with ET35 to ensure that it will not rub on the coupe. Thus for that offset, it's best to run 265.

Is the sidewall height with 235/35 and 275/30 consistent? Also, is the offset front and rear different in this example?

That's what I would recommend but it depends on your preference. There are some members running 235 front and 275 rear but I would go with either 235/265 or 245/275.

I've heard mixed reviews to the 245 in the front in terms of rubbing issues. I'm not sure if this has to do with the ET some are using.

He has an E90 so there's room to run wider tires.

I'm hoping so! I plan to run the M6 rears et 33 with 275's on XI stock suspension. Nick cautioned me, but I do have an e90. Am I off here or not? I really like the thought of the overall diameter being nearly identical.

Yeah, what would be the disadvantage of running the 235s with 275s in the rear instead of the 265s? I have an E90.....

You might be able to get away with it but it might rub depending on your tire choice. 275 should be ran with ET35 or so.

275 will give you more under steering but more rim protection.

No. It's not detrimental per se. If you're really intuitive you might be able to tell the understeer (when turning) but other than that there really isnt any drastic difference.

Would that necessitate going up to 245's in the front? I know you would reduce the understeer by going up in the front too, but won't the 245 have a larger diameter than the 275? Does it look better to have the 235/275 since the diameters are the same?
