Shift Knob Vinyl good or bad?

Okay, this is nothing special and maybe someone have done it b4, but i have some vinyl left over so i just put it on my shift knob to see what it looks like. Please give me some opinions guys. Should i rip it off or leave it? Thanks in advance. btw Sorry for the dirty interior.

What vinyl you use? Looks like satin black chrome.

THanks, its matte black, i have it leftover from doing the trim. Its kinda bright when i took those pic maybe thats why they have a bit black chrome look to it. haha

Looks pretty good.

May i ask how you did it? Im no stranger to vinyl application but no matter how hard i tried, there was always creases and folds because of the bend on the shift knob. I even tried to do 2 pieces yet it still did not work. But your looks perfect.

Although you did a perfect job applying that, I like the original better. Maybe if it was a glossy finish instead of matte. It looks kind of like bare abs plastic to me...

I am no expert by any means but this is how i do it. Cut a similar size vinyl piece then apply it carefully from top to bottom. Using my thumb i slowly squeeze out all the air under it, I did that inch by inch under i reach the bottom. Then cut out the extra vinyl. Let me know if you still have any question, i will try my best to help.
