More V3 news and updates
Hi guys,
I spent the last two days doing some local installs. Big thanks to everyone who took the time to drove out to see us Here are some pics from today: Heres how our plug-in harness works. Our subconnectors are the ones with the red wires. It slides into the ECU plug housing. And the factory subconnectors mate up with ours. It takes about 90 seconds to install the PROcede's subconnectors. And another few minutes to hook up power and ground. Daniel's beautiful new 6MT 135 (and cute as a button daughter): Andrews stunning 6AT 335: Got a couple more installs to do tomorrow. And then a few more during the following week. We'll probably end up using our first batch of harnesses for local customers (or at least those who can drive to us for us to do the installation/road testing). Once we establish everything is going smoothly, we'll open things up to mail order. We expect to have v2 to v3 update kits available by then (or sooner). More info on that later So far everything has gone splendidly with the local installs. No issues with installation, hardware or tuning. Baseline 6AT and 6MT maps are working as well as I hoped. The 135 we did today was a whole lot of fun. The owners review here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7641 Also, i believe you guys wanted more news about v3. While there is a lot more yet to be announced, I'll give you a couple of tidbits: Two new features that we've incorporated in v3 is overboost protection and leanrun protection. Overboost protection is a built-in subsystem that constantly monitors boost pressure. If boost pressure exceeds a pre-determined boost pressure for longer than a pre-determined length of time, the PROcede will automatically switch over to a stock-like valet mode. To reset it back to normal, the user will have to cycle the ignition OFF/ON. The idea behind this feature is to make it impossible to run unsafe boost pressures in the event of mis-adjusted User Torque values or wastegate failure. As a default, we've been setting the boost and time thresholds to 15.5psi and 1 second, respectively. Leanrun protection is similar to overboost protection except that it monitors air/fuel ratio, instead of boost. If on-boost AFR goes leaner than a pre-determined value for longer than a pre-determined length of time above a pre-determined engine speed, the PROcede will switch over to the stock-boost valet mode. The idea behind this feature is to protect those who are approaching (or exceeding) 400whp which is close to the limit of the stock fuel system. Given changes in operating conditions and mechanical car-to-car variance, we felt such a safeguard was necessary for true peace of mind when running fully catless, with intakes at 15-16psi. When making nearly 150whp more than stock, we think things like these are a good idea More info to come in the next few days... Cheers, shiv |

Good to see the focus on safety is still a big priority. I am still very interested in what else is out there but I can see where you want to keep us waiting for more news.

Shiv, was this the new v81 dme? I'm understandably curious to hear if the new ecu makes any difference in terms of compatability with your piggy back, as my car was built in late march.

Ok shiv two questions
1) I have Catless DP's and im running O2 simms. Will V3 have a feature to overcome the light so i can remove the simms? 2) I have never had a PROcede. Will you offer a package with V3 or will i have to buy a basic procede ECU with V2 and then upgrade to the V3? |

WOW, this is fantastic. People wont have to worry that much about over boosting when adjusting the UT parameters. Keep up the good work Shiv, you've been innovating since day one. Others are just stepping over where your prints where left!

1) PROcede v3 has a built-in programmable o2 sim.
2) Yes there will be a full v3 package for people who don't have an earlier version Quote:
