UPDATED WITH VIDEO:
Featuring BMW Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk speaking about the M1 Hommage Concept ==> VIDEO: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/B...ept_159268.htm BMW's supercar icon, the M1, blew out the candles at the Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este this weekend. In honor of the car's thirtieth birthday, BMW rolled out the new BMW M1 Homage, a concept/design study that pays tribute to the original M1 and shows what could be possible if BMW were to produce a new mid-engined sports car. |

You're kidding me. BMW actually made this? I thought this might have been an individual's work.
I'm not crazy about it. It's too retro for it's own good.

This is just an hommage concept - to celebrate M1's birthday.
The concept has no agenda. It's just a homage project like BMW Concept Coupe Mille Miglia 2006 was two years ago - conceived to celebrate BMW 328 Mille Miglia birthday, and to be shown at Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este exibition (sponsored by BMW Group). Again: just an hommage without any future agenda! |

Wow.. the side shot looks crazy. I also like the back. Flows really good with the retro look.

The lines on the side are awesome, it's too bad you can see the rims. The back flows good too except loose the two roundels.
I hope the guy that did the rims is stuck inside them someplace. Is it the lack of a front bumper that is throwing me off or is the front rather closed in and restrictive? It looks closed off, but there seems to be plenty of room for airflow. Regardless, it's too sharp angled and doesn't seem to go with the rest of the car. |

Love it
I love it! I'm sure the M10 will not be anything close to this, but I have to say this really pays a lot of repect to the original M1.
