Metal or Rubber valve stem? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I just purchased a set of HyperBlack CSL wheels and a set of BMW TPMS sensors. Would I need valve stems for the install at the tire shop? They only have rubber valve stems there. Any difference between the two (Metal and Rubber). My 17" stocks comes with metals.

Your oem TPMS sensor has valve stems that are purchased separately. You need to get them from the dealer, or from whomever sold you the sensors.

Rubber won't work.

So I need to purchase the valve stems separately from the TPMS? I need to get metal too?

Yes, and yes. They only come in metal (AFAIK). Rubber=no TPMS, Metal=TPMS.

I had the iForged adaptors at first, and bought the oem TPMS from Gary@Tirerack, only to find out that I needed the oem BMW valve stems to work with the TPMS.
