awesome pics and great write-up... it should take any guesswork out of my installation... the car looks very nice.. Good thing we are in different states, Because my car is going to look very similar to yours after my blacklines and tints are done. What percentage tint are you going with?

Update with tint.
5% and 20%
Now I just need to get the rails off, and the aluminum pedals installed and I'm done.

Night shots soon.

Don't feel too bad about that, because you get all the extra stuff for free!
Sure it's nicer to be able to build your car exactly the way you want it, but we over here in Germany have to pay tons of €€€ for all the goodies!

ChiTown, your car looks stunning with blacklines and tint, perfect match with silver!

I agree that the rails look out of place on bright colours like AW or TiAg, I would order it without (and save $ 260 ).

But I decided to order them along with lemans blue and the M-package.

Anyway, congrats and

Those blacklines look great on a TiAg E91 ChiTown!!! I think I am convinced of ordering a pair myself! I will contact my dealer tomorrow to ask for the price. I was also considering the blackline-stock combo but your picture convinced me absolutely not to do that!

Thank you all for the kind words. Here's some more pics.
I started a tour today, I'm away from home for 5 weeks, no car for me.

Dante's right. We here in the US have a lot of our options subsidized because we are the biggest market. If you go to http://www.bmw.de and navigated to the configurator for the 3, you'd notice that it's 32800 Euro. Converted over, that's $39,048 USD.

Now, that of course doesn't include a lot of the things us Americans take for granted. Like cupholders... and maplights...

In fact, I built an E90 online and configured it so that it would match the very most basic E90 that you can get in the states (325i manual, 156 rims, no sport pkg, no prem pkg, no winter pkg, manual seats, non-metallic paint, etc.) just to see what the same thing would cost in Europe...

36,890 euro, or $43,917.55

God Bless the USA! , LOL

Can any of you guys with the 325xiTs post more photos for me?

Mine is on order. Week 14 build. It's a million years away

And this board is full of E90 photos, but not enough E91s.

LEDZEP found me a couple of great alpine whites (that's my color), but I'll settle for anything that has 5 doors.

Hey ChiTown,

how's your European Tour so far?

Went to the dealership today and took some pics for you!

I hope this will ease your decision wether to delete your roof rails. Because I'm not too euphoric anymore after seeing this TiAg E91.

Let me know what you think. (Sorry for the bad lighting in the pics!) Enjoy.

Thanks Dante!
These pics help reassure me to have them removed. Looks great.
I like the roof-line without the rails. I'm going to have to get the trim painted though.
I get to go home on April 4th. I'm going to make an appointment to have them removed asap.
My Europe tour has been going well, I'm in Oslo today.
Cold........burrrrr lots of snow still.
Just finished 9 days in Gemany. I love it. Berlin is my favorite.

Berlin is definitely not my favorite, I need some nice landscape around me.
Did you ever visit Nuremberg? I just love my hometown!

Regarding the rails:

Isn't there any chance of getting the trim painted as spare part? Would it be more expensive?

Enjoy your the rest of your trip and don't forget to post pics after the removal!

I already have the trim without the holes in it, ready to be painted.
I think the trim cost me about $60
I'll be sure to post pics.
