Hi

Who is cooksferry ? ,I was advised by ant he could do new sets for 1050. And he had some as new refurbished at 750 also he said that the company he uses refurbish them to a even higher standard due to the powder coating of rim and a powder laquer ,So i would be happy either way on his advise id proberbly go with his refurb set but if they are sold its looking like new

Your a tease Mike, you could at least have given Scooba the web address:

http://www.cooksferry.com/

800 biggies Scooba,e-mail Ant, or face north and get your prayer mat out.

I seem to have vague recollections that he was out of the country this week.

They have some new ones here that work out roughly the same as Ant's new price.

Help

Hi ,I have been looking everywhere at wheels for my e90 ,where is that ant397 ,I want his m3csl rims.

But in the meantime what does this actually mean ,Ihave seen some very clean looking secondhand rims with the wording either ACID or Chemically cleaned both the inside where you would expect to find stubbon brake dust and the outsides Perfectly clean .

ok i also relise people on fleabay clone others pics and use for there ads .

What is it they use to remove all traces of brake dust .I have a new mini r85 rim and tyre in my garage and used it for approx 4weeks ,i have just got it out to wash it and stick it on ebay and was shocked by the state of the inside .I have washed some of the crap off but id be ashamed to stick it on ebay in this condition .

Tyre size on M3CSL

Ok some help required with tyre sizes please,

I am confident that i can secure a set of M3csl rims from ant397 when he returns from wherever hes gone/been.

I have also sort of decided on michelin pilot 2 tyres unless anyone can change my mind ,i am open to suggestions .

Ok so they have to be 19" but width and profiles im undecided it seams by my limited knoledge that fronts can be

Fronts 225/35 or even 235/35 slightly wider than stock on my 18msport even though the tyres are 1" bigger and the rolling diameter has changed ??

Rears 255/35 or even 265/35 again the later being bigger than stock 18s I have also sean rears on 255/30/19y and 265/30/19y so i am ever so slightly confused .

I suppose i will have to wait for ant397 to return.I think he will have all the answers

You will want the 30's on the rear with 19's. Tyres sidewall height is a calculation of the tyre width.

Therefore 30% of say a 255 is closest equivalent to 35% of a 225.

Ant will have understanding if you go 225/235 and 255/265.

if youre getting 19x 8.5 and 19x9.5 u will want tyres 235/35 and 265/30 or if u want u can stretch quite comfortably 225/35 and 255/30 as per the OEM 19s on e9Xs. any other profiles will be wrong

You need 235/35 on the front and 265/30 on the rears, 225 and 255 using PS2's look very. very stretched. The PS2 is a narrow tyre and even with 235 and 265 you will not have any rim protection at all.

I bought 225 and 255 for my CSL and it was not good. Some people go 245 and 275 when using PS2's, but I wouldn't on a non M car as it will probably rub.
