I am definitely coming if i can get a hotel sorted (i will have lost my reservation at your hotel Paul as i didnt reply) - will try them later today to check, you never know, otherwise i may try the place i stayed at this weekend with the biker boys - it wasnt that close to Ring but no more than 20 mins max. Also - are you going by Eurotunnel or ferry? Let me know what your crossing/train time is so i can get booked onto same one. I am bringing my wife now (sorry Nicola, cant offer that lift now!)

Steve, we're going on the 8:50am Eurotunnel on Saturday morning. I'm staying at the Mercure Hotel (conference one) in Koblenz - 85 euros a night, really clean and modern 4 star hotel. About a 25 minute drive to the 'Ring. They still have rooms, though are getting booked up quite quickly.

Ok - so you and Paul have booked and paid for the 8.50am train then? I will book same train. Hopefully we can meet en route to the tunnel?? What is the return train youve booked? Are you going alone or with the missus?

I'm going alone - think Paul has his missus with him. He's coming back on Monday afternoon for the 8:20pm train in the evening (I think). I'm coming back the following day (Tuesday) as I want to take advantage of the whole of Monday that the 'Ring is open. You and I can meet en route to the tunnel as I'll be coming out on the A13 probably. Paul'll be coming around the M25 from Junction 10. Plus, there'll be the whole Evotechnik crew too...

Don't forget to bring helmets with you to the 'Ring - even though we're in a car, helmets are advised!

Are helmets in cars advised or is it compulsory?? Not sure how i will get on with driving in a helmet - i will find out at Snetterton - but wasnt intending wearing one on the Ring unless its compulsory.

It's not compulsory but advisable, but if you want passenger laps with some serious 'Ringers, it's best to take a helmet in case they insist you wear it. If you're driving yourself, then it's your choice!! Personally, I wear a helmet (open face) as I'm used to it already...
