Need some opinion on wheel size

I know this has been asked and I have read many posts / threads, but I guess I just want some personal advice on wheel Size. I have an 08 E92 XI that came with the 17" wheels and RFT's. I want more than anything to put some aftermarket tires and wheels on the car. Mind you, I spent most of my $$$ on the car and don't have a lot left, so I emailed EAS, JLeviSW and **********s. All three gave me a package Price which was good. The problem is because I live in Conecticut and there are potholes all over the place, some folks tell me to go with 18" wheels for the extra sidewall on the tires and others say, no go with the 19"s. My question to you guys is which do you think is better. The staggered 18" setup or the NON staggered 19" for my E92 XI. I don't want to spend the bucks and find out a month from now that I made a big mistake.
Thanks

Bob,

I would personally do the 19" wheel setup. While the ride will be a bit firmer, the difference in sidewall between an 18" and 19" setup is not drastic. I also feel the 18's are a bit undersized for the E9x chassis, the 19's really fill out the fender a lot better than a set of 18s.

I think if you go 18's you're just going to feel that regret you didn't get 19's. As to the wheels, they'll hold up to the potholes, and if they don't it isn't that expensive to replace the wheel. That said don't go driving into pot holes

Ultimately its your call at the end, and you should do what you feel would make you the happiest.
