Help with watergate rattle problem
Hey guys so I went to adjust my watergate today to get rid of some of the rattle and upon looking at the shaft it literally can slide right out of the part that pulls the watergate in and out. Should there be some type of locking washer, nut, or pin holding that in? I don't think it's just supposed to be able to slide off like that. Could that be the reason for my rattle? Thank you

I asked Nixon, he denied any involvement, but there should be a clip there.

yea i noticed there is no clip holding it on. so i adjusted the wastegate today on the rear turbo and its still rattling. something else i noticed when i was doing a pull was that at 6k rpms on both map 1 and map 5 with the jb4 the boost falls from about 15lbs to about 10-12. is that normal for the boost to fall off a little like that? should i put that wastegate back to where it was?

I thought you were talking about the shaft itself coming out, where the nut is. (deleted previous post to prevent confusion) Here's what you need: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1229252

It doesn't seem to specify years on the model list, but as cheap as they are you might as well get 1 or 2 of each so you know you have the right one.

Yea its because there should be a washer behind it to put pressure on the clip. The rod still had a little wiggle room. It needs some sort of washer.

Something is not right. Either it isnt the correct clip or the arm is bent or something causing it to push hard on the clip. The clip should not be able to just fall off.
