Has anybody changed? & techinal Question?

Has anyone on this forum changed their speakers on a E90 325I with pro nav and standard sound system. I know the sizes (4") and brands (pref Infinity) of speakers with the right depth to use am just struggling to find a place that sells suitable speakers (strathfield & JB Hi-Fi don't sell) and somewhere that has done an install on a similar car.

I have a Sub+Amp and another 2 channel amp and just looking to buy and upgrade the speakers in door and rear tray, don't think I need to bother about the little subs under the seat if I have a big one in the boot.

If someone has done something similiar how much was it? apart from the infinity speakers has anyone installed a different brand with good results? Any recommendations on places to take it?

While I'm here a techinal question if anyone brainy enough to answer???????
I installed Gruppe M Air Induction Kit with K&N Pod Filter a couple of months ago. When I am travelling at speeds over 50km/h and the car is in neutral the revs go crazy and jump between 100-2,000 rpms and if travelling above 80km/h in neutral the car will turn off! I took it to BMW they told me its because of the Intake and to install the standard system to fix it.
I refuse to do this because it cost a fair chunk, took me 3 painful hours to install, sounds soooo much better, and is noticeably a bit quicker. I love it.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I would have to do to fix the issue and keep it installed?

Note: I did the install slightly wrong I was supposed to put 2 spacers below the MAF Sensor but I only put one, so maybe the MAF sensor is sitting slightly lower than normal in the tube, do you think this could be causing the issue?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm not very technical.

Thanks,

BB

Basically BMW is hinting to you to return your cars' intake back to stock or they are refusing to look at your car. Simple really. It would be wise to heed their advice as it doesn't sound like a simple fix.

BB,

I think you may have answered your question...

Alternatively you could;

a) take it to a BMW specialist other than BMW for them to see what is up
b) return it to stock and see if the problem still occurs, if it does then have BMW fix it. Then after the fix, if all is good then put the mod back on & see if the problem reoccurs.

Just my 0.02c worth.
