Goodwood events are always wonderful.

I wish I lived daaaahn saaaarf in the Summer just for the Goodwood events, such a pity I live this far up the country otherwise I would have been going to Goodwood for the Sunday!

I don't think you get one through mate. I registered weeks ago and got nothing, and just re-registered and still have nothing, so I think we just turn up.

We need to coordinate with the Surrey boys where/when we're meeting them and that will determine when we're going to meet. I'm guessing you'll go M11/M25 so we could meet at South Mimms services? If we're meeting M25/A3 junction @ 6.45, then a 6.15 meet at SM will be spot on.

I have never pre registered you just turn up and park. If we get there before 8.00 it will be fine but this one will be busy. I will preregister but it will should make no difference and hence why they have probably not written back.

Carlos, Sheps it will be great to see both of you but I appreciate it's a really early start and a long treck for you to look at supercars for a few hours. We will make sure they have some strong coffee for you when you arrive.

The drive down is great but be warned the Surrey and Sussex Police know these events are on and like to get there mobile gear out on the road. I got 3 points for 37mph in a 30 on the outskirts of a village last year at 7.30 in the morning. so be warned and watch your speed especially through the 30's.

Now who else is local?

Tony, Bumps, Crimison in his loverly new vert, Oli in his S3 come on guys it would be good to see you there.

Maybe I'd best not convoy with Carlos then - he does tend to bring out the devil in me! We do tend to make, how shall I put it, good progress when we are out together.

I shall update the Pogo Drive for mobile locations, and make sure we watch our speed in the built up zones. Do you have a suggestion for a suitable meet point for all of us?

Sheps, I think James suggested meeting at Jct 10 (M25) which is the A3 turn off.

As you come off the M25 heading towards Guildford, there is a BP service station about 2/3 miles from the M25 junction, that would be a good meeting point.

From there you can cut across country towards Petworth - A3100 - A283.
Depending on times I could meet you at Petworth at around 7.30a.m. and from there it's another 20 odd minutes.

The trip across country is a good un, and at that time it will be a good run through.
As Gibbo has warned, keep your eyes peeled for the goonies, let Carlos lead and tuck in behind his arse, and ALWAYS have one car in front going faster then both Carl and yourself, even if it's a Reliant Robin running on steroids!

Sounds spot on - if we're meeting you at around 7.30 @ Petworth what time do we need to be meeting at the BP you've mentioned? I was planning on meeting Carlos at South Mimms services at 6.15 to get to A3/M25 junction for 6.45

Does that give us plenty of time to get to you for 7.30?

I think we need to be earlier than that old chap;
We need to speak with James and find out what time we're meeting at the A3 junction. I'll drop him a PM

Carlosflyinglandinggeardango, do you have a plane and pilots licence? There is an airfield on site and it will save you a bit of time.

Great morning down at Goodwood. Ian thanks for the lift it was good to go in your car on the H&R springs and remap. James good to see you again and Sheps and Jay nice to meet you a good effort to come down for the morning.

Great cars I will post the pics later but I think all supercars were well represented on the day.

Peter/Ian/James,

Great to see you all this morning - both Jay and I had a great time.
Definitely well worth the early alarm call (although I did need to stop and get a coffee half-way home!)
Looking forward to the next meet with you guys already, be that Brooklands, FOS or the next breakfast club.

To those that couldn't make it, you missed great morning - none of my photos (they're still uploading to photobucket) do the event justice - if you're in any way into your cars, then this morning was automotive porn.

I'll post some additional photos when I've uploaded and sorted - no point in duplicating what Gibbo has posted (especially when his photography skills are so much better than mine!)

A cracking morning chaps. Thanks for making us feel very welcome
