Blue Was the Colour

Well, lovely as LeMans is I just couldn't spend c 4.5hrs every weekend keeping it looking just so...so the fantastic 335i Coupe is now an ex and my new sweetheart is a silver M3.

Picked it up today from Dick Lovett in Bristol and had it prep'd by Jay of Gleaming Kleen using a whole host of Zaino products - it all new to me as up to now I've been a wax waller.

Anyway, despite what you may read the M3 is a fantastic drive, as it will play docile when you want, unlike my old E46 SMG M3, but when you ask for beans it has mexican beans aplenty....

Just a few snaps taken by Jay, more over at detailing world

m33....

Somehow if feel at bit guilty - promised the other half that I'd keep the blue 335i for the full tenure so this one is pushing my luck at little - next time might be new other half required!

Is there much difference in ride between the coupe and the M3 ? I have a feeling the suspension is adjustable on M3 ?

Lovely car! I sat in one today while in Chesterfield BMW, helping my best friends mum buy a new Z4!

I really like the new M3, it looks great, the one in Chesterfield was in that colour, it was gorgeous, I'd still go for white myself but that Silver would certainly be my second pick

Love the colour I like Silverstone and Bluewater on M3's. I have not seen either on an E92 M3 yet. Stunning and should not mark as easy as a dark car.

Is this special paint how much extra do you have to pay to put this on an M as I assume metallic comes as std. on this model.

Thanks for the comments all.....

The paints not a special colour but I believe it's limited to the M's and yes metallic is "free".

re the question on ride quality....I have opted for EDC which gives the 3 settings, comfort, normal and sport. Not tried sport yet but I'd say comfort is just marginally softer than the msport ride I had on the 335i. I notice it with much less "thump" when going over cats eyes/potholes etc.

But early days yet and been driving like a granny so we'll see how it goes..
