The only one I have see so far is the one here....

http://www.a-tack.net/index_head.htm

Would prefer the climate to be below the monitor though.

they also do direct replacment speakers too.

That would be sweet to have the Nav plus a double din LCD unit!

Wow, thanks for this link! This is fascinating to me. It thought I was going to have to make my own kit. But what I see in this link here is first a kit to mount the double DIN deck. Then it looks like a wire harness to relocate the stereo just below the glovebox. Also, it looks like there might be some kind of display extension for the stereo display to be relocated (maybe to the ashtray area?).

Here is the PDF. Only issue is the price, with current exchange rates, the double din kit is $532. The relocation bracket and harness for the radio is $97. The display relocation kit for the radio is $97.

I was wondering if I had my exchange on target in my head. I was like 57,000 divided by 1,000 or.... 100? Nah...couldn't be $5XX bucks. Guess it is

Interesting, I like this kit better. Radio relocates to trunk and the is a speaker that will keep the gongs functioning but I wonder what happens with BMW assist and bluetooth. Still quite pricey...

Here is the Google translation for the site.

I think you have to decide to rip everything out and loose the factory bluetooth etc.

You can have your car coded for 'no radio' apparently, and this really needs to be done otherwise diagnosis can't be done on certain areas of the car.

I think I would put something like the new Pioneer double din nav unit in there and not bother with any of the bmw stuff if I went for it.

well that is why these kits KEEP the factory radio mounted somewhere else, and i guess you just use the aux input so you get sound from the new radio...

I want to keep my factory bluetooth and the BMW assist. I really want to keep the tracking function of the BMW assist in case of theft. I wonder if you lose that by yanking the radio?

what do you mean by speakers that keep the gong functioning?

Also, how do they tap the audio from the new head unit? if it uses the AuX then its not even worth it because it sounds like crap.

Subscribed, btw.

The alert sounds from your BMW come through the radio. Like when you are low on gas or any other sounds.

My AUX in sounds great. Make sure you turn up the gain on the AUX in.

I changed my radio to a single din flip-up nav, everything's awesome, but I lost the function of BMW assist..

so anyone know of any possible way to buy this unique kit?

anyone know of a way to keep the old radio hidden somewhere and install a single din unit? (basically the same thing as the link for the double din kits shown except instead of a double din install, a single din install).

Save yourself a boat load of money and use this dashkit instead.

http://bestkits.com/ViewImage.aspx?img=i/bkbmw3.jpg

I used it on my buddies E92 a couple summers ago, and it is less than $30. i installed a single din Alpine IVA unit in and it worked out great. here is the thread i posted as i was doing the project.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...project&page=2

2nd page has a good pic of dash kit.

those would be sweet but if you have heated seats those DD kits won't fit right?

that looks to be true from the pictures but they have a solution for that too. if you look further down the page, they have a seat heater relocation kit. here is a link for the translated page with all the products.

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate...rUrl=Translate

found something else too. not double din but a single din. the kit comes with the harness to relocate the radio to the trunk. they also have a canbus which as i underrstand it would allow you to use your steering wheel controls? not sure on that last part but here is the link.
