Sold the 335D for a CSL

Ive just sold my 335d for a CSL. I've covered 28000 in the 335D and shes been fantastic but i've wanted one of these for a while and this one is supposed to be in A1 condition.

Its a black CSL
18000 miles
03
2 owner with the important Aircon/Xenons

I paid basically 34850 for her which is quite alot , they had a 04 in silver/grey with 27000 on the clock for 32000. But i was after a black and this is a car i plan to only use in the summer and to keep. Yep keep as i think they will get classic car status as time goes on.

Its kind of bugging me that i've over paid slightly but the low mileage and the condition ( big folder with all the receipts etc ) and the fact that its not had any mods or been tracked ( so they say ) makes me think ive done the right thing.

Looking forward to it and just in time for a trip to the ring this summer .

The CSL is worthy of so much more than the usual "Congrats on the purchase" compliment!

You dont need me to tell you that you have probably bought the best BMW of this decade!
Now, lets see some pics please!!

Peace and hair grease

Wonderful, is it Carbon Black? Didn't belong to someone called Ian previously did it?

Congrats Scoot. The CSL really is a special car, don`t worry about paying a little more for a good one.

Scoot, another one moves away from the Derv side.

M3 csl is such a nice looking BMW and a nice low mileage clean car - sounds fantastic. A definite modern day classic car and a keeper for sure.

Wonder who will be next to trade there 335d for something a bit more fun?

Scoot - CSL is a great car.

I'm after a 335d touring (with nav & pano roof ideally) - is yours gone? What did you get for it?

Cheers

I thought the E46 M3 CSL only came in Carbon Black and Silver Grey colours!

Is Black Sapphire the non metallic black? If so bet it's super shiny!

M3 CSLs are in my all time favourite cars, one of the cars that made me become a big BMW fan too!

Its a

335D M Sport Touring
Black/Black
Comfort
Pano Roof
Logic 7
DAB
USB
Sliding armrest
Nav Pro
Bluetooth
Auto dipping lights
xenons
BMW Tinted windows
Voice Control
Heated Seats
Hidden Electric Towbar ( never used )

Its had the DMS done to it too ( can be removed ) its been great no problems whatsoever. 28000 miles on it today, FSH next service not due for 8000 miles, new rear tyres about 800 miles ago and front have around 10000 left.

There is some very light kerbing to some of the wheels . A small scratch on the interior silver facia and a few light scratches ( not deep at all ) on the bodywork.

I've got a bid of 30000 from the dealer which i think is very good , the only reason i managed this was the spec.

The car does 36 mpg all day long , i average 450 miles from a tank and i've had no problems apart from leaving the radio on and running down the battery.

Wow. What a perfect spec.

Even so that the money is very strong for what I assume is a pre-ED car (reg early/mid07?) with that many miles - hence you shouldn't feel you've overpaid for the CSL - even with the 335d spec that bid is around 1000/1500 better than a straight no-trade offer if not more. Did you ask what discount would the dealer do on the CSL without a trade in?

I haven't asked what they would do the car for without the trade in, though i did get 2 other offers from dealers at 28000 and 29000 when i shopped around for my car.

Most said that they would normally bid around 27500 for my car but my spec is in demand ( or so i believe ). The car was registered 01/06/2007.

The marks/wheels are only very minor and if you were interested i would knock 500 off if you wanted it but i would need to know by tomorrow morning.

Hi Scoot

I would have been interested, but can't really move that fast! I start a new job today so really should be thinking about other things!

Cheers

Congratulations on the new purchase, good chioce of motor. I sold my E90 last month and bought a CSL don't regret it for one minute. I bought a silver grey one with 14.5k miles on the clock with two previous owners. All the options except rear PDC, I paid just a tiny bit more than you did if it's any consolation about paying over the odds.
Pics of my car are on this forum somewhere.

The good ones can achieve good money.

Love the CSL. Last summer I test drove one which had more miles but one owner from new.

was up for 29995, he didnt sell it for another 6 months, i rekon it must have gone for 27k or something.

Scoot, its a great car mate so BIG TIME congrats to you!
