Wheel questions for 335xi...

Couple of ???'s for you smart folks out there...let me start by saying, I am not going 19" and I really want 18" staggered M6 reps and can't find them (except in Canada and they are PRICEY with the exchange rate)... the best I can find out there is a set of 18X8.5's (with 35 offest) all the way around so, would it be ok/possible to run 225/40/18 front (pretty sure yes) and 255/35/18 rear (pretty sure also) on 8.5" wide wheels? I know it's close to what the stock sport package set up is (18X8/18X8.5 with same tire size) but would it look and drive ok with them non-staggered and different tire sizes?

If the answer to the above is no, I was looking at a set of silver or hypersilver staggered (18x8.5 front with 1.5" lip and 18x9.5 rear with 2" lip) ADR battle exe (double 5 spoke design, kind of similar to the M6 rep) with 35 offset also, any thoughts on these rims looks, quality, performance wise? I'd be using the same size tires as listed above. Price difference would be about $100 more for the M6 reps but not really an issue...Comments and thoughts appreciated, flames not so much Thanks guys and gals!

So nobody knows if you can run staggered tires on the same size rim?

That setup should be just fine. I can't think of any issues with that setup.

UniqueEDesign advertises that they have staggered 18 in m6 reps. They are a sponsor here.

The stok set up for the rear is the same as what you are trying to run 255/35/18 on a 8.5" rim the only thing you are changing is going from a 8" rim up front to a 8.5" which should be fine. I assume you are using the OEM run flats that came on the car.

Actually AJ, I'm ditching the 17" RFT's (got the Sport package but not 18's) and going with PZero non rft's on 18's...will either sell the OEM wheels and tires here and buy a straight winter set or use the OEM All season 17's as the winter set up (depends on what somebody offers me for the OEM's!)

They are still trying to find someone to make staggered 18" M6 reps. Miro makes some but them are 18X8 all around.

I couldn't wait either. Went ahead and bought the 18X8 ones. When they make staggered, I will probably get those. I have no patience!

J Bone, you got almost the same car as me but you went I drive, I didn't...what color interior did you get, mine's Coral Red and I really like it (so don't the girlies!). I got some carbon fiber splitters and a cf spoiler on the way. I still don't know what to do about wheels, I can get the M6 reps in an 18X8.5 all the way around now or get some staggared double 5 spokes but I'm hoping somebody tells me the M6 staggareds are on the way in...I may just do like you, get the 8.5's and if staggareds come around get those and make the 8.5's the winter set up. I second MJ, any pics?

Here are some pics. Pics don't do justice to how it looks in person. Overall, I like the 18's. I wish they were staggered though. I was nervous about potholes with 19's since I already bent one 18 this winter. I love the gunmetal look. They look very chrome in the pictures and also far away. As you walk closer to the car, you can really see the gunmetal color. These are miro 18X8 (all around) M6 reps with Kumho 225/40R/18 all around. So, if and when they do make staggered 18's, I plan on buying a set for the rear and keeping these in case the front ones bend or tires go bad. Hope this answers most of the PM's I recieved. If not, please feel free to PM me again.

Oh, the second to last pic is what the front looks like and the last pic is the rear. Just for some of you non-XI guys. I know, I know.... it needs a drop bad!!
