Run flat tires questions

Hey guy i was wondering a couple things about runflats

1. how long do they last in terms of milage? i am a very conservative driver and i dont race my car or push it much at all.

2. also if i wanted to go runflats again after my current ones wore out, how much would it cost?

i am thinking i might just get CSL wheels with tires from eas instead of runflats if i can justify the cost casue i heard runflats are pretty expensive.

thanks

Well i had to replace a runflat (rear) three weeks ago and it cost me $360... FOR ONE TIRE! Oh yeah, that is the third RFT I have replaced since I bought the car in January of this year.

1) i drive my car pretty hard daily and i had one track day on the tires. They lasted me just barley 11k.
2) it would cost easly over 300 a tire.

My car has about 10K miles on it, and all 4 of my RFT's have at least 1/2 the tread left. I usually don't peel out of stop lights

I have 30K on my Conti run flats and I'm getting them replaced next week. They still have lots of tread on them --- could probably go another 10K miles -- but I have a bubble in the right front tire, so I thought I'd swap them all out now.

I'm replacing them with non-runflats (Goodyear Eagle F1 AS) because I don't like the sudden 'thunk' that I get on potholes with the run-flats. I'll be carrying a jack, inflator, plugs, and tire goo.

I had the OEM continental runflats on my car for over 60 thousand miles. That seemed like way too long, but they held up great. Just switched to Pirelli non runflats.

Wow! 60,000 miles - that's unbelievable. I would love to get anywhere close to that. I drive fast on interstates, but don't corner very fast (usually).
