US Spec (mph) to Euro (km) Speedometer

Already asked this on M3post and didn't get any answers. Has anyone ever changed from a US speedometer to a European one? I'm trying to figure out whether it is possible, what it will cost, and how difficult it is to reprogram the needle for the new display.

Thanks!
