changing AT shift knob!
ok so i know that to change the shift knob all you have to do it pull up until it pops out.
so when i get my new one, i just push down and bang it into place, right? how many people have had problem of the shift knob staying in correctly? i have a feeling i wont be able to get the new shift knob to stay in tight like the stock one from the factory even though im getting a bmw shift knob. |

Yes, you need to run a piece of felt of double sided tape on the shifter mechanism for the knob to fit tightly

so even if i go to the dealer and get my shift knob replaced, becuase of wearing, it will be loose unless they put something2x tape there?
i was gonna buy the black oem bmw shift knob to replace my stock e92 worn one, but i might head to the dealer to get it replaced, but i dont want a loose shift lever. |

No, that one should be tight. I thought you want to put in an aftermarket knob
