Michael, looks GREAT! Glad to hear it rides good! I thought about it last night and I will preadjust the rears about 3/4 from soft. I really don't want a overly harsh ride.

Mark, I'm really hoping you can find a good spot to get your springs installed! I thought about your situation yesterday and I can't wait until you finally put them on. I know how tough it is looking at your springs not installed for so long.

Do you think the drop for a 330xi with H&R sports will be similar?

I would presume so, but this is just my hunch. A non-ZSP 330i and a ZSP 330i will drop exactly the same way (meaning that in the end, they both will be at equal heights), indicating that the difference in height is the function of the springs. The drop on the Xi will probably create a greater negative camber that will have to be adjusted.

Nice! Glad so see you’re putting that D50 to use. Now you are going to be spending all your money on e90 mods and glass for the Nikon.

It's really tough for me to see my spring sitting in my trunk

however, he is busy this week.I have to wait until next Tues and skip my classes on Tues..
Hope my teacher will forgive me

You should plan on spending around that much time there. Not every shop is going to be as fast or slow as another. It takes time.

I'm a bit torn between leaving the car with stock rims vs going aftermarket. I love the clean look of the 162s and the practical functionality of runflats, though bigger and wider is tempting.

For aftermarket wheels, the AZA Z-15 CSL replicas (a la diesel007) look very nice. They are clean and not too busy, but have no lip (which I can live with or without) and do not come with 10" widths. DPE GT-7s could be okay.

Breyton Seekers in silver paint (not polished aluminum) might be okay, though the large number of spokes makes the design a bit busy. Pic shown below.

The change would have to be more aggressive, yet elegant in line with the car.

what is negative camber in baby talk? the H+R Sport Springs have different part numbers specifically for the xi models. do u think it fixes this "camber" issue.

I just went to the H&R Springs website at http://www.hrsprings.com/site/index.html

The part number for the sport springs on a 330i and 330xi is 50494. Approx. Front lowering 1.3, and rear lowering 1.2. Of course, if the spring were exactly the same, one would presume that the Xi would be lowered more unless the spring perches were different.

In answer to your question, the following pics show examples of negative camber.

Camber is adjusted by an alignment. Lowering/Raising the car changes suspension geometry.
