Is this shocks still in shipping mode?
what's that yellow thing in the shocks? i have them in all 4 shocks...

Bimmer325: I don't think those are shipping blocks...
Shipping blocks look more like this: ![]() Furthermore, you won't miss the unnatural ride height...and based on pics of your arktis 325, everything looks fine... ![]() Do you have the sports suspension option?? Either way, if you think it doesn't feel right, take it back to the dealer/workshop and have them look at it and/or compare to the other e90 there...

thanks mate, verified with dealer they have been removed...
yea, the more i look at my car the more i feel the car should be much lower....perhaps its time for me to start looking for some after market kit to lower my ride...heheee

I might get a set of springs myself since the other members say the ride quality is not compromised by the lower stance.

Is that yellow thing not supposed to be there? After reading this thread I found only one yellow thing in one of my shocks. Did the dealer took 4 of them off your car when you brought your car in? Thanks, |

The yellow foam are bump stops, and are SUPPOSED to be there.
Nguyensd, I think it's likely that the other three of yours are just slipped down inside the dust boots. If you for sure DON'T have them, go to the dealer, they are important. A bump stop protects your shock in the event of a hard bump bottoming out your shock/strut. Matt |
