Choice of tires for 335 XI...help !
I have 335xi with 18" wheels (sport package) with run flat. 225/40 front and 255/35 rear.
the total diameter for front is: 225 mm x 0.40 x2 +18" = 25.09 inches rear is 255 mm x 0.35 x2 + 18" = 25.03 inches My question: I can put 235/40 front and 265/35 rear. front diameter is: 25.40 inches rear diameter is: 25.30 inches The difference is 0.06 inches between front and rear for stock tire and 0.10 inches for the new tire. Because my 335 is XI, the bigger (0.04 inches) difference between front and rear than stock run flat, can damage my drivetrain/transmission ? Thank for your answer. A+ |

I am running that same configuration. The difference is negligable.
