you can give craigslist a try
http://www.craigslist.com/
that way you may get more hits from people in your area, also try autotrader and other similar sites, that'll increase your exposure.

unfortunately dealers, more often than not, will low-ball you, if you have the time and patience, selling your car privately is the best route to get the most money out of your car.

The dealer will rape you, but it'll be a quick sale.

Private party takes longer, but you should get more money like that.
