General Question: How Many Planning to Remove Run Flats?

Just wanted to run an informal survey.

And, does anyone have a suggestion of where to get a wheel for the 5th tire for the trunk? And, how much should a plain wheel cost? (I don't plan to get another alloy wheel.)

Thanks.

Larry in Los Angeles

P.S. With all the run flat complaints, has anyone thought that this might be a lemon law candidate? Do you think BMW will eventually get rid of the run flats?

I'm keeping my OE wheels and tires, but when I ordered my new rims, I ordered regular non-RF tires and look forward to a better ride. I plan on purchasing a M-mobility kit in case of a flat.

RF's are here to stay like it or not!

ahhh...larry my sue-happy friend no j/k i havent heard of anything malfunctioning on the run-flats. they do what theyre supposed to do. the only thing i hear is about how theyre heavy and have crappy traction.

im planning on getting aftermarket wheels but ill keep my 162 w/run flats until i decide if im gonna go for the coupe or not. but without my runflats ill be getting a m-mobility kit like danny.

What sort of complaints? That they're too heavy? I haven't seen anyone complain that they don't work. In fact, when the police were chasing that e90 330i in Houston a few months back, their spikes were ineffective against those runflats.
