JB3 Vs Jb2hhR?

Tune only or same mods, who do you think would win in a straight line, in a stop or roll? Same octane ( 96+ octane ).

I missed the days when people post videos in this forum.

I think it will be even but you will probably get more input at n545tech.com...this site is mostly for Procede users.

HHR is a race setup, so you would need to compare it to the JB3 with a racemap, In that case, the JB3 would be a much more sophisticated way of controlling things. JB2HHR wouldn't work in my car without limp modes. JB3 will probably be able to run those boost levels on a race map, without the limp modes.

I'll say JB2HHR would win.
Has much more low to mid range torque and has a peak boost in the 16 psi range during acceleration.
The JB3 isn't going to push that much boost and since the boost levels increase more slow (for smoother power delivery) you won't have nearly the torque below 4000 rpms as the JB2HHR.

However, I'm not sure what a JB2HHR car on 96 Octane is pushing boost wise at 6000-7000 rpms either.

But again, I'd say it would be close but if you do a rolling start at say 30-40 mph in 2nd gear the JB2HHR car is going to be at a higher boost point and probably jump ahead by 1/2-1 CL pretty quickly.
After that, it's all about the power levels at 5000-7000 rpms.
And I'd say the JB2HHR is still pushing more boost on average during that range.
So again, 2000-4000 or so rpm, no contest, JB2HHR is more powerful.
From 5000-7000 rpms where races mostly take place it'll be closer, but I'd still give the advantage to the JB2HHR simply because of more boost overall and based on the dyno results the JB2HHR car has shown compared to JB3 cars.

It would be, as Hotrod said, more fair with the JB3 race gas map.

If you can do this "test" go for it and let everyone know the outcome.

Let JB3 run a race gas map and I am sure that JB3 would win out.........the race gas map should be out for JB3 in 3 or more months once Terry gets up to date with all the orders.........then run the test since both tunes will be taking FULL advantage of the race gas.......
