Exclamation 12 more v3.0 maps posted

Here: http://www.vishnutuningforum.com/for...=2834#post2834

Just posted up new versions of the current v3.0 9-5-08 maps. The only difference is that they default to Map2 (full boost map) upon start-up. So no need to press any buttons on the remote control keyfob to run full boost.

12 more maps with traction/torque nanny enabled to be posted within the next 24hrs. And some more after that...

Note: The 7-11 maps have been removed and replaced with the newer 9-5 maps. And they have dropped their "beta" status. Currently, there are no beta maps available.

Cheers,
shiv

Nice, except I'll stick with my current 9-5 map which defaults to the low boost map. My wife still doesn't know I have a tune and I don't want her to kill herself.......hmmmmmmmmm...I kid, I kid!

2007 335i Coupe  [4.50]
Let me get this straight!! when I start the car, it will default as Map 2 which is the higher boost map. Then if I press off on the remote, it will switch to map 1 the lower boost map??

Will we hear about your reasoning for this soon?

Are you seriously complaining about having more choices and more user-defined capabilities? That's one major positive attribute that separates the PROcede v3 with the other piggybacks out there. If you weren't serious, then sorry, I misunderstood; hope you get your lag problem fixed. I thought Shiv said that these new maps help alleviate the lag issue.

So what if I'm running the 9-5 beta map prior to this release, and I'm not using the remote, so upon start up, which map does it default to?

I'm guessing it defaults to the map I have loaded, which is the beta 9-5/stg. 2/Non-doomsday?

Thanks,

Yes. Will default to higher boost map (map2). To activate lower boost (map1), you will need need to hit the "OFF" button.

Thanks,
When you say that you "are not running the remote", do you mean that you don't have it plugged in to the PROcede harness or that you just aren't pressing the buttons on the keyfob.

Because I'm pretty sure the directions say that you need to keep the remote relay box plugged into the harness Not plugging anything in can cause the PROcede to switch maps randomly.

But if is plugged in and you are not pressing any button the keyfob then you are running around on the low boost map.

+1:
And:"Also, if you are running a Doomsday version of the map (and presumably have had your ECU updated with BMW software 29.2 or later), do NOT raise the User Torque levels. It could negatively effect the PROcede's diagnostic invisibility."

Do not raise past 80% or 85%?

IMHO, no need for traction nanny for the doomsday maps...at least at this point.

um.....well, I have the remotes, but am not using it. I also didn't plug it into the harness, I believe. Because when I was watching the installation video, it said if I plan on using the remote, then it's a good time to plug it in right now. This was said right before everything was put back together, after testing that there's no codes post V3 install..........

With Doomsday, no not raise them above the default value of 80%. Just for the next week or so. Will have something soon

Shiv,

Do you have the installation video somewhere, it's not on youtube anymore. I want to see where to plug in the relay harness......

Thanks

Dustin is making a couple of edits to the video. Give it a bit... it'll be back up soon

But to answer your question, there is no relay harness to plug in (assuming your are talking about the clear relay that is already integrated into the harness.) If you are talking about the black remote control receiver/relay box, then there is only one place to plug it in. Kinda eliminates options
